Nest 00: Digital Disconnection Center

Description
The main concept of the project emerges from a thorough analysis of the surrounding area, identified as a highly technological and fast-paced environment. This context is characterized by constant activity, professional pressure, and a strong dependence on digital devices, as observed through the study of user profiles within the area. The prevalence of continuous connectivity and screen-based work generates elevated levels of stress, making the need for spaces of disconnection increasingly evident.
In response to this condition, the project proposes the creation of a refuge: a space conceived as an alternative to the intensity of the external environment. This intervention seeks not only to provide a physical separation from everyday routines, but also to promote a gradual detachment from technology. The design introduces a controlled environment in which users are encouraged to reduce their dependence on digital devices through an experiential and progressive process.
Furthermore, the proposal addresses a significant gap within the area, where there is a lack of spaces dedicated to mental rest and personal well-being. In a context dominated by productivity and constant stimulation, the project aims to offer a contrasting atmosphere, focused on calmness, introspection, and reconnection with oneself. Ultimately, the space is designed to foster a more conscious and balanced way of inhabiting, allowing users to temporarily disconnect from external pressures and reconnect with their own physical and emotional state.
The proposed use of the building directly responds to the context of high professional demand that characterizes the area. Following an analysis of both the local environment and its users, a clear need for spaces dedicated to disconnection and mental well-being has been identified. The intensity of work routines and the constant exposure to digital devices highlight the importance of introducing environments that support healthier habits and promote balance.
Despite being a predominantly executive area, there is a notable absence of programs aimed at addressing this issue. This lack of similar initiatives reinforces the relevance of the proposal, positioning it as both an innovative and necessary intervention within the urban context. By introducing a space focused on gradual technological detoxification and personal reconnection, the project not only responds to existing needs but also contributes positively to the well-being of its users. In this sense, it represents an opportunity to enhance the quality of life within the area, offering an alternative to the prevailing dynamics of stress and constant connectivit
