Description

The Domestic Club is a hybrid model between co-living and a creative center that redefines aging, understanding it as a stage of change, transformation, and freedom. The project stems from the idea of the traditional residence to become a space for community improvement, where workshops, nature, and flexible common areas foster the exchange of ideas and personal expression.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the northern expansion of Madrid drove the appearance of colonies, fostered by the upper classes and intellectual circles, which broke away from the Ensanche in search of amore functional urban planning. This context favored the arrival ofrationalism, prioritizing natural light, ventilation, and geometric sobriety over ornamentation; a trend that is perfectly seen in Serrano 130 and the Palacete del Marqués de Villora, a pioneering work by Rafael Bergamín that adapts that modern aesthetic of clean blocks to the concept of a single-family chalet. The D’Club integrates biophilic design through natural light, vegetation, and organic forms to generate an environment of calm and well-being. Inspired by the concept of metamorphosis, it is a space in constant change with different perspectives, as well as dynamic, where nature, color, and movement transform maturity into a new chapter of exploration and self-improvement
