Este fanzine nace de la curiosidad que siempre he tenido por el movimiento punk, tanto por su estética como por su connotación política, el cual ha influenciado a estéticas y movimientos posteriores e incluso coetáneos en muchas disciplinas artísticas e ideológicas. Esta afición no reside simplemente en pantalones de cuadros, cadenas y crestas, sino todo lo que existe detrás de esa estética rompedora. Se trata de preguntarse contra qué se pretende romper, qué reacción se pretende provocar, a quién y con qué fin. Por qué existe ese descontento y qué se puede hacer para cambiarlo. Tomar acción y rebelarse contra aquello que oprime, contra aquello que no deja ser libres y humanos. En resumen, cuestiones que el ser humano se ha ido planteando a lo largo de la historia el cual ha sido reflejado en el arte. El arte es el espejo del pensamiento de la sociedad en que se crea, por eso veo tan acertado intentar reflejar este descontento que surge con el punk a través de distintas etapas de la historia.

Dado que el punk nace como un descontento en base a la situación económica y política de la época, es un concepto que puede relacionarse a otros contextos históricos puesto que siempre han existido los opuestos de los controladores y los controlados, los explotadores y los explotados. El sentimiento de pertenencia y libertad parece ser algo intrínseco en el ser humano y es importante no solo recordarlo, sino reivindicarlo. El objetivo de esta pieza es acercar al público objetivo a ser consciente del derecho a la libertad y de dar voz a quienes creen no tenerla, además de contar una historia desde un punto de vista distinto. Es evidente que muchas de las decisiones tomadas por un grupo de jóvenes descontentos no suelen tomarse en serio, ni en la época en la que surge ni muchas veces a posteriori cuando se analizan. Precisamente lo interesante de este fanzine es intentar llegar al por qué de estas acciones y comportamientos tan radicales y ver cómo se trasladan al mundo del arte en consecuencia.

This fanzine was born from the curiosity I’ve always had for the punk movement, both for its aesthetics and its political connotation, which has influenced later and even contemporary aesthetics and movements in many artistic and ideological disciplines. This fondness does not lie simply in plaid pants, chains and crests, but everything that exists behind this groundbreaking aesthetic. It is a question of asking oneself to what is it intended to break against, what reaction it is intended to provoke, to whom and for what purpose. Why this discontent exists and what can be done to change it. To take action and rebel against that which oppresses, against that which does not allow us to be free and human. In a nutshell, questions that human beings have been asking themselves throughout history and which have been reflected in art. Art is the mirror of the colective thought of the society in which it is created, that’s why I find it convenient to try to reflect this discontent that arises with punk through different stages of history. Since punk was born as a discontent based on the economic and political situation of the time, it is a concept that can be related to other historical contexts since there have always been the opposites of the controllers and the controlled, the exploiters and the exploited. The feeling of belonging and freedom seems to be something intrinsic in the human being and it is important not only to remember it, but to vindicate it. The aim of this piece is to bring the target audience closer to being aware of the right to freedom and to give a voice to those who believe they do not have it, as well as to tell a story from a different point of view. It is clear that many of the decisions made by a group of disgruntled young people are not usually taken seriously, neither at the time when they arise nor often a posteriori when they are analyzed. Precisely the interesting thing about this fanzine is to try to get to the root of such radical actions and behaviors and to see how they are transferred to the art world as a consequence.
