La idea consiste en la elaboración de un libro ilustrado que hable de la esgrima histórica explicando el contexto histórico y relación con el duelo o combate individual a lo largo de la historia, este libro además será introductorio a la disciplina de las Artes Marciales Históricas Europeas, más bien conocidas con el acrónimo en inglés HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts ) En el cual se explicarán técnicas y conceptos básicos de cada arma de esgrima histórica desde la espada y el broquel del siglo XIII hasta el sable militar del siglo XIX, enfocados especialmente a las personas que estan empezando esta disciplina y buscan tips para mejorar. El libro contará con ilustraciones propias que expliquen de manera clara, las espadas, personajes y técnicas que están ejecutando. La mayoría de libros que hay en el mercado relacionados con la esgrima y con las HEMA en general tienen un diseño bastante pobre y simplista, muchos de ellos aburren al lector y acaban en un fracaso. Lo que se propone es atraer al lector hablando de la historia del duelo centrándome en Europa y a partir de ahí ir explicando el contexto, la evolución en el diseño y alguna técnica comprensible de esgrima adaptada a cada arma.

The idea consists of the preparation of an illustrated book that talks about historical fencing, explaining the historical context and the relationship with the duel or individual combat throughout history. This book will also be introductory to the discipline of European Historical Martial Arts. . better known by the English acronym HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) In which basic techniques and concepts of each historical fencing weapon will be explained, from the sword and buckler of the 13th century to the military saber of the 19th century, especially focused on people who are starting this discipline and looking for advice to improve. The book will have its own illustrations that clearly explain the swords, characters and techniques they are executing. Most of the books on the market related to fencing and HEMA in general have a rather poor and simplistic design, many of them bore the reader and end in failure. What is proposed is to attract the reader by talking about the history of dueling, focusing on Europe and from there explaining the context, the evolution in design and some understandable fencing technique adapted to each weapon.
