Las Ratas se trata de un corto de animación que reflexiona sobre la problemática de la identidad cultural en el occidente globalizado. ¿Cómo se desarrollaría una personalidad visual de la ciudad de Madrid y cómo evolucionaría la misma con el paso del tiempo? Las urbes europeas crecen difuminando sus fronteras. La cultura, el arte, el diseño, la infraestructura y los intereses sociales se han unificado en el S XXI debido al uso generalizado de Internet y el Libre Mercado. En esta pieza íntima y personal se recoge la pérdida de la memoria individual y colectiva en forma de una animación experimental con técnicas mixtas a través de escenarios, carteles, sonidos y texturas que transmiten la atmósfera de la ciudad.

Las Ratas is an animated short film that ponders on the way that globalisation has affected west culture. How do we imagine a Madrid visual personality and how would it evolve over time? European cities grow by blurring their frontiers. Culture, art, design, infrastructure and social interests have been unified in the 21st century due to the widespread use of the Internet and the open market. In this intimate and personal piece, the loss of individual and collective memory is shaped by an experimental animation with mixed techniques through scenarios, posters, sounds and textures that evoke the city´s atmosphere.
