Description

This chapter presents a theoretical framework for analyzing sustainability transitions in the textile industry. The framework synthesizes traceability, transparency, and strategic circular approaches to enhance the implementation and scaling of circular practices within textile systems. By examining the textile value chain as a networked construct, we identify and discuss key enablers including technical and social innovations, policy, behavioral changes, and educational strategies. A literature review and reflective practice approach is coupled to clarify essential concepts and provide practical tools for practitioners implementing circular strategies. Through reflective practice, the study critically assesses various definitions and delineates the primary interactions that drive the evolution of these transformative processes. The conceptual framework is intended to support more enriching conceived reflections action systems and weaving radical interactions for researchers to consider when highlighting the significance of circular-led approaches in promoting new methods, strengthening communication, enhancing cross-disciplinary and understanding of the need to respond to a circular narrative.
